MANDALA WORKSHOPS AND/OR CELTIC PILGRIMAGES
For some years I have been hosting individuals and small groups in the context of a meditative approach to painting mandalas and visiting local sites. It is an aspect of my work I especially enjoy as I get to meet new friends from all over the world, explore mandalas and visit beautiful places.
I am fortunate to live in an area of outstanding natural beauty near a National Park which includes the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and The Preseli Hills famous for their Blue Stones and Stone Henge Connection but also a powerful energy centre in their own right.
The above photo features a small stone circle called Bedd Arthur high up in The Preselis which is quite a long walk to get to but well worth the effort!
This part of the world is also rich in ancient and sacred sites as for example the dolmen Pentre Ifan above. In the background can be seen Carningli also known as The Hill of Angels which is another place I like to take visitors to.
The locality is an ideal place to visit for inspiration, meditation, creativity, healing and rest.
I live in a dorma bungalow on the edge of a quiet village with fields and nature all around. The house looks small from the front but expands when you enter as it has had a variety of extensions over the last twenty years including a loft conversion as well as back and side extensions. It provides basic but comfortable and peaceful accommodation. I have two bedrooms and an accompanying bathroom for guests. Painting mandalas takes place in the gallery space. I also have an office/studio and an en suite bedroom for my personal use. Shared rooms are the kitchen and sitting room and gallery. Front Bedroom. Upstairs Bedroom. Bathroom with mural.
There is a local shop which sells just about everything and I am on a bus route. To buy organic food from a health food shop requires a five mile journey but there are several local sources of good organic food. Generally speaking I have plenty of organic food in the house but can always go shopping if necessary.
For details of pricing please see. The balance of activities can be tailor made for the person or persons interested and is negotiable. I can fine tune the pricing according to your specific requirements and give you an estimate of the total costs involved. I offer a reduction if guests bring their own bedding and towels. I ask for half the total cost when booking and the balance one month before arrival date. In the case of late or last minute bookings we can discuss alternatives but as a general rule payment in advance is required as confirmation.
To be more specific about the two bedrooms: 1. Downstairs bedroom. It looks out onto the front garden and can sleep one or two. 2. An upstairs loft conversion (images 1, 2, 3 ) which looks out onto the back garden and beyond that to grazing fields. It can sleep one, two or more depending on how much space and privacy are required. Also there is a hall, kitchen and bathroom as well as my own studio/office and living space. When giving workshops here I arrange the space according to the specific situation and the gallery doubles as a studio.
Sitting Room
For those coming here to work with mandalas the day can be planned according to your specific requirements. You may wish to spend most of the day working with mandalas or for instance work with mandalas in the morning and go exploring in the afternoon. My intention is to be flexible and work out with each individual or group what is suitable for them. If you wish to visit to enjoy the general ambiance without actually painting mandalas then that is an idea I am also open to. So here are a few introductory ideas about visiting here. I intend to add more text and pictures in due course. Other Resources: I have a good collection of books on Astrology, healing, meditation and related subjects which visitors are welcome to peruse when here. I have a good juicer and blender for those who wish to go on a healing diet or cleanse.
